The MS Office Install Version is the traditional software that you buy with the disc and license key. These are the traditional MS Office 2013, MS Office 2016, and the soon-to-be-released MS Office 2019. The software isn’t cloud-based, so interaction on a document across multiple users over the internet is not possible.

Also, if you want to upgrade to the newer version of the software, you’ve got to buy the entire suite all over again. You can’t just purchase the basic programs such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. One license is intended for only one user only, which is one of the advantages of Office 365. With Office 365, it’s possible to have as many users on the software as your plan allows.

Getting MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Training

MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint must be the three most popular programs in these suites. You may probably do without the other software but these are the ones that you have to be an expert in. It won’t matter if you have Office 365 or the installed version on your computer, the idea remains the same. In order to fully utilize the features of the software, you need proper training.

Get training from reputable online training centers. You’re better off joining these centers because they allow students to learn at their own pace and time. There’s no need for you to leave your current job or travel to and from the training center every day just to learn about MS Excel or Word. The training modules will be available to you at all times.
